SPare Parts Kennel- kalyn holl
From Siberian huskies in Minnesota to Alaskan Huskies in Alaska, Kalyn has many years of mushing under their belt. After years of helping train and race other teams, Kalyn took the plunge and began their own kennel- Spare Parts Kennel. Home to 12 Alaskan Huskies, 1 Livestock Guardian Dog, and 1 Jack Russel, there is never a dull moment. Follow their adventures on Insta @spareparts_kennel
Runner dance Kennel-LaurA Allaway
Laura Allaway and her canine athletes operate Runner Dance Kennel. Laura is a veteran of the 1000-mile Iditarod and 1000-mile Yukon Quest sled dog races, but now focuses on adventures and guiding guests on dog sled experiences! howling ridge kennel- Shaynee traska
Shaynee Traska, her husband Jeremu, and there canine kids form Howling Ridge Kennel in Two Rivers, Alaska At the young age of nine, Shaynee (Seipke) told her parents she wanted to race the Iditarod someday. Shaynee formed Howling Ridge Kennel when she began training and racing her own team of dogs at age 14. What began as a four-dog team in Gladwin, Michigan is now a fifty-dog kennel in the heart of Alaskan mushing country. She has since competed in many races including the 1000-mile Iditarod Sled Dog Race. You can follow Shaynee on social media @shaynee_howlingridgekennel or their website here.
Midnight sun kennel- Jen Hallsten
What started eight years ago as a kicksled and one over-eager pup as snowballed into a team of 28 sled dogs. Midnight Sun Kennel has competed in various local raises including the Quest 80 and T-Dog 100. Learn more about the dogs and Jen here and keep an eye out for them in future races!
There & Back Again Sled Dogs- Josi shelley
Located just down the road, the huskies of There & Back Again are experienced athletes! In addition to doing tours, they also compete in races like the 1000-mile Iditarod Sled Dog Race and the 750 Yukon Quest Alaska. Follow their racing journey on their social media!
Skookum Expeditions- Sam Mclain
The dogs of Skookum Expeditions often join us for tours throughout the season! This 2025-2026 season, Sam (the kennel’s dog handler) will be piloting the sled on tours. When not doing tours with Sam, the dogs are off racing Iditarod and other races with Lauro, the owner of Skookum Expeditions. Check out the dogs of Skookum Expeditions here.
