Fireside Tea & Reindeer Group Tour

Join us on our evening group tour for your chance to mingle with the reindeer! Stroll down our enchanting black spruce trails illuminated by golden holiday lights, all while surrounded by the magical presence of reindeer.

The tour begins in the Chena Outdoor Co. yurt where knowledgeable guides give a brief history of reindeer in Alaska, reindeer anatomy, and lay the groundwork for why reindeer and caribou are one of the ultimate Arctic animals. As a group, we then make our way out to the reindeer trails where you’ll meet the herd and begin your stroll. Meander through the black spruce forest, finding your way to a small clearing lit by holiday lights and a campfire. Savor a warm cup of hot tea as you watch the reindeer browse on lichen and bark. Learn about each reindeer from our knowledgeable guides, take photos of the friendly reindeer, and feed them their favorite winter snack- lichen!

Price: $70/person

2 cups of hot tea/person are included in tour price

This tour is designed for adults or calmer children. If children are more the zoomie type, we recommend a 45-minute Private Reindeer Tour instead.

20 guests maximum

No minimum number required when booking; however, for the tour to run, a minimum of 6 total participants is required. If the minimum is not reached by the night before the tour, then guests will be refunded or offered the opportunity to go on a standard 45-min Private Reindeer Experience.
