Ryne Olson

Ryne is a human teammate on the Ryno Sled Dog Kennel race team. She’s competed in four Iditarods and five Yukon Quests as well as several mid-distance races including earning a 1st place finish in the Copper Basin 300. When not mushing, Ryne is hiking with her reindeer, flying, fishing, and horseback riding.

Derek Patton

Derek is a human teammate on the Ryno Sled Dog Kennel race team. When not helping with the kennel, Derek is a BLM Alaska Smokejumper, experienced bush pilot, and hunting/fishing enthusiast. He spends his free time exploring the Alaska wilds with his bird dogs, Jezzy and Sasha.

Kalyn Holl

Kalyn is Head Reindeer Trainer. They are currently in the process of becoming a Certified Animal Behavior Consultant through the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants. When not training reindeer, Kalyn competes in dog sled races, canoes, backpacks, kayaks and photographs around Alaska.

Lauro Eklund

Lauro and his dog team operate Skookum Expeditions. When not guiding tours, Lauro is competing in sled dog races across Alaska (including the 2024 Iditarod), fishing, hunting, trapping, and building log rafts with his Dad, Neil Eklund, to float down the Yukon River.

Jeff Reid

Jeff Reid and his canine athletes operate Frozen Trident Kennel. Jeff is a retired Navy seal who’s next big adventure is the 2024 Iditarod Sled Dog Race. When not training, Jeff is exploring the Alaska wilds with his sons Atlas and Max and his wife Jeri. Follow Jeff and the dogs on Instagram under @frozentrident

Laura allaway

Laura Allaway and her canine athletes operate Runner Dance Kennel. Laura is a veteran of the 1000-mile Iditarod and 1000-mile Yukon Quest sled dog races but now focuses on adventures and guiding guests on dog sled experiences! When not mushing, Laura is training her horse Phoenix or working on her chicken empire.
